چکیده

The demand for aluminum alloys is increasing, as are the demands higher strength, with aim of using lighter products a greener environment. To achieve high-strength, corrosion-resistant alloys, melt rapidly solidified melt-spinning technique to form ribbons, which then plastically consolidated by extrusion at elevated temperature. Different chemical compositions, based on adding transition-metal elements Mn and Fe, were employed remain within limits standard composition AA5083 alloy. samples systematically studied light microscopy, scanning electron, transmission microscopy electron diffraction spectrometry micro-chemical analyses. Tensile tests Vickers microhardness applied mechanical analyses, corrosion performed in comparison tensile strength was improved 65%, yield 45% elongation 14%. mechanism we achieved better properties explained.

Modeling of Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Aluminum Alloys during the Casting and Heat Treatment Process

In the production of aluminum castings, alloy composition, metallurgy, and local solidification conditions determine the distribution of microstructure and defects. The local distributions of microstructure and defects have a defining impact on the mechanical properties. This paper will present an overview of new options to simulate the local microstructure in casting processes and throughout t...

Effect of Nb on the Microstructure, Mechanical Properties, Corrosion Behavior, and Cytotoxicity of Ti-Nb Alloys

In this paper, the effects of Nb addition (5-20 wt %) on the microstructure, mechanical properties, corrosion behavior, and cytotoxicity of Ti-Nb alloys were investigated with the aim of understanding the relationship between phase/microstructure and various properties of Ti-xNb alloys. Phase/microstructure was analyzed using X-ray diffraction (XRD), SEM, and TEM. The results indicated that the...
